FortisBC Furnace and Boiler Rebates

FortisBC offers rebates for high-efficiency natural gas furnaces and boilers. A qualifying 95%+ AFUE furnace typically qualifies for a rebate of $1,000-$2,000. Energy Star Most Efficient certified equipment often qualifies for the maximum rebate tier. To qualify, the equipment must be installed by a licensed gas contractor and meet specific efficiency requirements.

  • 95%+ AFUE furnace: Up to $2,000 rebate
  • Condensing boiler: Up to $2,000 rebate
  • Connected thermostat: Up to $150 rebate

CleanBC and BC Hydro Heat Pump Rebates

CleanBC offers substantial rebates for switching from fossil fuel heating to electric heat pumps. Combined rebates can reach $6,000 or more. Cold-climate heat pumps with HSPF 10+ and SEER 16+ typically qualify for the maximum rebate. Enhanced rebates are available for income-qualified households.

  • Furnace to heat pump: Up to $6,000 combined
  • Oil/propane to heat pump: Up to $11,000 combined
  • Ductless mini-split: Up to $2,000

Water Heater and Other Rebates

FortisBC offers rebates for high-efficiency gas water heaters. CleanBC offers rebates for heat pump water heaters. Additional programs cover insulation upgrades, window replacements, and draft sealing.

How to Apply Through CANRO
